Asus M6Bna laptop
Hello,
I have a Asus M6Bna laptop, with built in intel pro wireless network card. I have Red hat Fedora 2 installed at the moment and it detects the wireless card but it says its busy/currently not turned on so it can't inilise it, I know in windows I have to press Function f2 to turn on the wireless, is there a way to get it working in Linux? thanks for all suggestions/links/help have a good day Luma |
I'm not familiair FC2 so I can't hel with GUI tools. Does it perhaps list which driver is used? Can you go to the command line/terminal and set your essid with "iwconfig wlan0 essid ****" change wlan0 in another interface if it doesn't use wlan0 and then run "dhcpcd wlan0" Can you ping to your router or the internet then? ("ping -c 4 ipadressofrouter" and "ping -c 4 google.com"
