After DHCP refresh Xlib connection failures

Hello,

I use an Omnibook 6000 with Mandrake 9.2 and a WPC-11 wireless network. Currently I am using the laptop on the university network.

Now the problem is that after using the laptop for a while I am not able to start new X11 applications. I get

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

However applications already running have no difficulty opening new windows. (Nautilus for example can easily open new windows).

I have no clue what is going on but I suspect it is related to DHCP, that DHCP refreshes something after which I seem to be coming from another location..

(As you can see I have no clue what is going on)

Greetings,
Erwin.
