Acer Aspire 5630 and Intel Pro Wireless 4965AGN problem

Hey

I just replaced my pci-e ipw3945 due to it was faulty with a brand new iwl4965 card, but my wifi switch in the front has stopped working, and I can't seem to un-kill the card in any way.

I am running ubuntu 7.10, and it does recognize the card. I can even sudo modprobe iwl4965 and still no luck. Maybe it can be done with aceracpi or acerhk?

Code:

# dmesg | grep Intel
[  21.310332] CPU0: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU        T5500  @ 1.66GHz stepping 06
[  21.398772] CPU1: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU        T5500  @ 1.66GHz stepping 06

[  16.912000] iwl4965: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN driver for Linux, 1.1.0
[  16.912000] iwl4965: Copyright(c) 2003-2007 Intel Corporation
[  16.912000] iwl4965: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN

Update: dmesg says RF kill switch is on, but the rf kill switch has stopped working.

I am a student at the University of Aarhus in Denmark, studying Computer Science, so the wireless connection is a must-have if I am to get any work done on my laptop. Help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
