VM resource

hi,
Just to clarify.

i have kvm as hypervisor and each VM has its description in /etc/libvirt/qemu/VM.xml on centos.

When i start the VM then kvm will create in RAM the resources of VM like vcpus vnic so on and after that the bios of VM is loaded then the OS.right?
tnx

I'd think that is basically it. Maybe wording off a bit or such but the idea is what I believe it does. For example. You have 20 VM's that are powered off. They won't consume any overhead for the most part. At some point you may end up starting one by one and find out that you may or may not have enough resources.

Yes, there has to be a virtual hardware fully available before you can run a VM. As VM's get closer integration to the host you start making some of this difficult to monitor in basic terms.
