VM bridge does not have IPV4

Hi all,
In order to get access to vm externally(outside host), i have created a bridge and add the bridge to my vm.xml
Code:

<interface type='bridge'>
      <mac address='52:54:00:f5:5d:d1'/>
      <source bridge='br0'/>
      <model type='virtio'/>
      <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x03' function='0x0'/>
    </interface>

and the result of ifconfig inside the vm is
Code:

$ifconfig
eth 0    Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 52:54:00:F5::5D:D1
          inet6 addr: fe80::5054:ff:fef5:5dd1/65 scope:Link
.....................
lo:  .........

No I am just wondering why my vm does not have an IPv4?
and I cannot ssh to my vm with this IPV6.

Any help is hiughly appreciated.

you didn't set up an IP address in the guest, why should you have it?
