Virtualbox CentOS Guest can not connect to Internet from XP Host

Hello,

I just setup CentOS 5 in Windows XP host running Virtualbox 2.0.4. I chose NAT in the network setting but I could not access to internet from guest OS (CentOS).

Sometimes, I could resolve IP (via nslookup command in guest OS) but can not connect to internet.

Is there any setting I have to do to let that guest CentOS to connect to the internet via NAT?

You can think of the host as a NATting router.

When you write "I could not access to internet from guest OS (CentOS)", what did you try and what were the symptoms?

When you write "Sometimes, I could resolve IP (via nslookup command in guest OS)", which times did it work? Or was it random? Which DNS servers does the guest use?

How is IP configured in the guest? Does it use DHCP?

How does the host connect to the Internet?

- Host OS has the internet connection
- Guest OS use DHCP
- I try to use some command like wget, lynx and yum but they did not work at all
- nslookup works

Now, I just removed Virtualbox and use VMware instead. It works good to me.
