Virtual box guest additions gone when host os is restarted / cold boot

Hi,
I use virtualbox with zenwalk 6.2 as the host and slackware 13.0 as the guest.
I had managed to successfully install the virtualbox guest additions so my slackware 13.0 can run fullscreen, etc
but when I restarted the host, my guestadditions setting was lost.

Reinstall guest additions everytime I want to use the guest os after a computer boot is just not acceptable.
How to retain guest additions installation, is there any step that I'm missing here?

Thanks

What evidence makes you conclude that the guestadditions setting was lost?

Oops, apparently the guest additions is still there.
But in non-gui/console runlevel I can't make it full screen, etc.
This is maybe from the slackware part not the virtualbox.

Using VirtualBox 3.0.10 on Slackware 13.0 32-bit host with Slackware 13.0 32-bit guest, when the guest is displaying a virtual console in a host window with focus and hostkey+F is clicked, the host window containing the guest display is changed to full screen. The virtual console text is unchanged but is displayed in the middle of a full screen (as opposed to starting from the leftmost column as it would on a real full screen).
