unable to install rhel6/centos6 in GUI mode in KVM


hi,

my host os is rhel6,while i'm installing rhel/centos as a kvm guest, it only takes me to text mode installation, no gui shown. how to install it in gui mode in kvm,

What graphics device are you using? You should have both vnc and spice available, so try switching that.

Got to also say.. does it actually matter??

hi,

if you are asking about graphic card of host system, it's in built intel graphic, but i don't understad vnc & spice, if vnc is installed in my host how it is related ? please tel me.

no, the VM needs a graphics interface, and that will be a vnc one or a spice one, as you have configured, presumably through virt-manager.

If there not enough memory, the installer will switch to text-mode, as i remember....
