Trying to enable GNOME on Template-based install of RHEL 5.3 on XEN 5.5U2

I'm a newbie (glad that's out of the way). I've installed RHEL 5.3 onto a Xen 5.5 Update 2 host server. All is running well, but I can't get the system to run the GNOME desktop at all... I've changed the runlevel to 5, but no luck. I've also tried to run XINIT, STARTX and X -configure and pretty much all tell me that there are no displays found. If I try to run system-config-display returns "No video cards were found on this machine, exiting" each time. I've copied a bogus xorg.conf from a site and tried to re-config but no luck there either. Since I am new at this, I'd like to use the UI to help me get around better. I've installed X Window Server and GNOME Desktop Environment via yum, all up to date and nothing to update.

Not sure where to go from here? Anyone have any ideas? Any sample device and/or config files from a similar install that I may be missing? Any way to re-run hardware/video detection? I'm lost.

Thanks in advance - Eric...
