system doesn't boot up with openvz kernel

Hi,

I just started using Debian and don't know much about the system. I have the following problem.
I installed minimal squeeze and tried to install openvz. I followed the instructions on the below www :

My system is i386 so I made the adjustments mentioned in the text. Kernel that was installed is linux-image-2.6.32-5-openvz-686.

Now the problem I have is that on this kernel system doesn't boot up. It gets to grub, then I choose the kernel version and it reboots again after few seconds. Debian version is 6.0.3-i386. Any hint what I can check to see what fails ? Is there a common issue with that etc?

After selecting kernel in grub before it reboots I get 2 lines:

Code:
    Loading Linux 2.6.32-5-openvz-686 ...
    Loading initial ramdisk ...
This is from grub from what I can see in config file:

Code:
    echo 'Loading Linux 2.6.32-5-openvz-686 ...'
    linux /vmlinuz-2.6.32-5-openvz-686 root=/dev/mapper/vg0-root ro single
    echo 'Loading initial ramdisk ...'
    initrd /initrd.img-2.6.32-5-openvz-686
I understand that it starts loading kernel and reboots. Any ideas what I'm missing here?

Thanks,
Konrad

No, not a common issue.

You say you followed instructions - but which ones?

Post a link or list what you did.

Installing OpenVZ on Squeeze is normally straightforward so let's retrace your steps.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
The link that was supposed to be in the oryginal message:

http://www.howtoforge.com/installing...-squeeze-amd64

I got to the reboot step obviously.

Konrad
