Still showing live OS after installation in virtualboc

I have previously successfully installed and used iso images on virtualbox.

This time, I tried using a live cd image. Specifically debian 32 bit with gnome desktop. I installed it through the installer on the desktop and the installation process ran fine. But when it re-boots, still the live OS comes up in the boot menu.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you tried to remove the ISO image from the virtual DVD-drive? Alternatively you can put the harddisk before the DVD-drive in the VM's boot order.

Thank You! Changing the boot order solved the problem.

For any other newbies having the same problem, changing the boot order can be done through selecting Settings for the VM -> System -> Moving the HDD to the top
