Slow-running Xen VM on linux host
Hi, all!
I am a newbie to this forum. The guy who was handling all the VM work is no longer with the company, and there was no time for transferring knowledge, and I have a bunch of people complaining about a production VM that is running really slowly. I am running xm top on the host and it shows all 8 VM domains and Domain-0, which is getting the bulk of the cpu time (but only 28%). Can anyone point me to info about how to diagnose the problem? There are 6 VMs on the host, and they are all showing the blocked state, with only the Domain-0 thread in the running state. From within the VM, I can find no process getting much CPU at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Frank |
We're going to need a little bit more than that from you...
