Question qemu - run Linux from Scracth gives a cannot mount rootfs hda - unkown device

Hi guys!

So, I'm trying to compile a runa kernel in QEMU, with two following tutorials:
http://free-electrons.com/doc/embedded_lfs.pdf
http://linuxabordo.com.br/download/a...edwithqemu.pdf

When I call qemu, it gives me a error:
Cannout mount rootfs...

I'm not on my computer now, but what I can say is:

My compiled kernel was support to ext2
I'm using kernel 3.1-rc8
I need to install a boot loader on the "hda file"?

Thnaks for your help!

spankbot, thanks for trying to help!

I'm using this:
Quote:
qemu -m 64 -kernel path_to/bzImage -hda rootfs.img -append "root=/dev/hda clock=pit"
So, my doubt is, these tutorials are about a very old kernels versions... but I find all the drivers and the source and my bzImage
was compiled with all theses options in the static compilation.

Do you have any ideas about this error spakbot?

So, thanks again for your time!
