moving my virtual machines from vmware workstation to vmware vsphere
Hello,
i would like to know how to move or migrate my openstack environemment from vmware workstation to a real hypervisor such as vmware vsphere (3 virtual machines total). can someone help ? And another thing, can i install or deploy vmware vsphere next to my windows 10, since type 1 hypervisors need to be installed on top of hardware as far as i know ?? (i don't want to lose my data). Thank you, |
Pretty sure VMware offers tools and tips to manage and migrate virtual machines. Should still work I think. https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/mi...rnalId=1012258
Do you mean dual boot? |

Considerations for dual boot might be how your own windows 10. How your recovery plan is and disaster plan.
Then you need to understand how your system may or may not boot to uefi and secure boot. Might consider how much free space is on current drive or consider new drive. Not really a one size fits all answer for dual boot. |

I think it should work but I have not tried exactly what you have. Many folks can dual boot to some other OS easily.

From what I know, someone skilled should be able to do a few things. One is to make disaster plan and test it. Two is to install a second OS.
Not sure what you are asking when you say use another partition. |
