Question KVM machine data recovery in lvm

Hi all,

I have installed a rhel5.7 in vmware workstation 8 & then i configure kvm machine on it, then when i try to recovery the .img of the kvm machine. if suppose kvm machine is not wk & i have to recovery the data from it. so i try it to recover through kpartx to mount the partition on /dev/mapper/loop0p /mnt at that time all partition of kvm machine is being shown at / i can easily recovered all data.but when create a new machine in vm-workstation 8 rhel 5.7 with default format it used lvm format, & i also configure kvm machine on it with same default format the "lvm format" at that time i am confuse because of base machine in lvm & kvm machine also in lvm "fdisk -l" so how i will take data from it. i am on my way to resolve it if someone done it previously so he can share with me

Hi All,

Now i got it the solution & it's perfect to resolve the problem you have to change the vg name of the guest .img machine, mount it & collect whole data of the guest machine.
