KVM (Centos6.4) - Can't see VMX flag on /proc/cpuinfo

Hi All

can anyone give answer to my case, I am stuck,

1- I have enabled virtualization on my BIOS,
2- set up VMWARE-WS.v8 (Windows_7 64 bits)
3- created CENTOS-6.4 x86_64 virtual machine
4- trying to set up KVM on it.

My issue here is that when I display the flags on /proc/cpuinfo, I don't see VMX, does it mean I will never be able to make KVM work on my computer? please help.

Also find below my computer specs:
Lenovo ThinkPad T420s
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2620M CPU @2.70GHz. 2.70GHz

You want a Virtual Machine to have a (virtual) processor that supports virtualization. It seems that this can be done.

http://communities.vmware.com/docs/DOC-8970

by enabling it in settings. You don't specify that you made the settings change.
(The link I gave is for VMware workstation 9 though, not sure if it applies to WS 8.)

Hi ,

Thank you so much scottro11, I have completely forgotten that parameter,
Indeed the feature is obviously applicable to VMWARE WS8 as well, Thank you again , That solved my problem.
