Unhappy Issue with ssh connection between Centos host OS and Ubuntu 10.04 Running on Virtual

Hi Guys,

I have a Virtual box 4.2 Running on CentOS 6.3 Final.

I have Ubuntu 10.04 LTS running as a virtual machine. Would like to control my Ubuntu installation from my host (Centos) via SSH.

Am able to connect my host (CentOS) from my VBox installation (Ubuntu) using SSH via Putty.

But couldnt connect vice versa.

Can anyone please advise?

Here by Host ( CentOS) IP is : 192.168.1.2 and Ubuntu installation IP is 10.0.2.15

Pasting output from Centos
-------------------------------------
[root@localhost Sriram]# ping 10.0.2.15
PING 10.0.2.15 (10.0.2.15) 56(84) bytes of data.
^C
--- 10.0.2.15 ping statistics ---
342 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 341362ms
--------------------------------------

Thanks,
Sriram A Das

Either run your virtualization guest in bridge mode (allowing it to ask the DHCPd for a same 192.168.1..0/24 range address as the host) or access the host by it's own 10.0.2.0/24 address? (Provided the SSH daemon on the host listens on 10.0.2.0/24 and the firewall, /etc/hosts.{deny,allow} and any /etc/ssh/sshd_config settings allow it.)
