Question Is possible to crypt or to lock the virtual hard disk of a VM?

May be I'm wrong. But I still thinking you could send me on the good way.
There's a way to keep safe the content of the virtual hard disk (.img, .vmdk) of a virtual machine to avoid strange eyes can watch the code of my program in the VM?

I mean, I wish to let a VM hard disk within my software inside. Just with the possibility of run the VM. But I'd like to protect the code against everybody, is it possible?

Thanks

If they have physical access then I'd think mostly impossible to protect. There might be a way to use a usb encryption fob or parallel fob maybe.

I keep my VM's disk on a LUKS partition. Unlock before use, lock after use.
