Is it my system or is virtualbox getting slower?

Has anyone notice their distros running slowly in virtualbox? I remember earlier versions of virtualbox were a bit snappier then the latest one.

For example, I gave mint 15 2 cores and 2GB of ram and it is still sluggish.

Personally I don't count "sluggish" as an objective way to measure of anything: I'd rather see system stats (SAR, Atop, Dstat, Collectl) proving it.

I wish I could have included the details of top but I removed Mint 15. Right now I am in Openbsd in which I am writing this post. If I decide to reinstall Mint, I'll post the details of top. Currently, openbsd is running smoothly in the VM.

I have also noticed that sort of issue with ubuntu based systems. They are a bit like windows. Start off ok then slows down over time.

As such the only deb distro i like is the original debian.
