How to send Ctrl-RightClick to guest in VMWare Player?
I am taking the liberty to post this to the virtualization forum as I believe it is more likely a VMWare issue rather than a guest OS issue. Here is the issue...
I am running VMWare Player 6 on CentOS 6.5. I created a Ubuntu 12.04 guest and installed gnome-fallback-session so that the guest is running gnome 3 rather than unity (which looks like a smart phone). In order to add and item to the gnome panel I must use Alt-RightClick on the panel. This works on physical Ubuntu 12.04/gnome machines. It does not work on the virtual machine. I get NO response to Alt-RightClick.
I have found various short cuts to send VMWare "reserved" key combinations to a guest but nothing about sending a keyboard and mouse combination. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
TIA,
Ken
p.s. I also note that I cannot copy and past files from the host to the Ubuntu guest. VMWare tools are installed on the guest. I have the same issue with Mint/Mate so perhaps this second issue is a 'buntu thing.
I guess I can now answer my own question thanks to a reply on another board. It seems that [Windows key, super key or whatever you want to call it] + Alt + Right Click will do the trick.
