how to resize a filesystem in fedora and opensuse

hi guys i am using a fedora 1gb image to create a new virtual machine guest on xen

all i did was i created a 2GB lvm and then used the dd command to transfer my 1gb image on the 2gb lvm now after doing dd when i boot the guest machine and check the disk usage it shows only 1GB

how do i resize the filesystem so that the df -h command should show 2gb inside the guest machine

thank you.

Finst of all, check if the partition (in your case LV) if it's 2gb (Hint: LVM tools). If so, first fsck the filesystem then use resize to enlarge it.

Main idea is that you first enlarge the volume then you enlarge the file system.
