Host system reported disk full -virtual box boot error

hi there,

I had installed RHEL5.4 os on Oracle VM virtualBox which was running perfect until it started showing "host system reported disk full" while trying to boot the os. The disk space allocated for this os was 60GB, and drive where i set the path for this disk has more than 100gb of free space left. I am afraid I cant boot the server in single user mode as well. Please help me to find the cause of this!!

thanks in advance
Sree

On checking some forums i got a clue that virtualbox has a limit of 4gb size for .vdi files on FAT32 formated drives. Does anyone know any work around to keep this os running from the same drive since all my drives are FAT32 based.

hi,

Found the solution :) :)

converted all my FAT32 drives into NTFS using windows default command line utility "CONVERT". Now its perfect

Thanks
