Host Os for Honeywall roo 1.4
 
What will the recommeded Host Operating System (just like ubuntu ,Centos) For installing honeynet in Vmware
I have Windows 7 As a base Host Os But It doesnot Pickup the roo complete Package .It doenot configure the Roo 1.4.Please tell me What is the Host Os for Honeywall installation .

This should have been clear that you do not require a host os.

. The Honeywall CDROM is a bootable CD that installs onto a hard drive and comes with all the tools and functionality for you to implement data capture, control and analysis.

But sir roo can install on vmware.

There is no issue of Host Os wheather it is window or linux. It can install on version vmware 6.5

I misunderstood that a bit but the answer remains the same.

If you have windows 7 as the normal OS at boot. That is OK. Get any of the common free virtual machines and study how to create a client system. You can easily install any number of OS's to those clients that you create.
