hepervisor problem with Copying Templates to a Different Storage Domain


greetings everyone


i have 2 rhev-h called datacenter1 & 2 attached to a rhev manager and both have some vm's
i tried to copy a template from daatacenter 1 to datacenter 2 but it keep saying
" Template already exists on all available Storge Domains "


any ideas pls ?????

You have two different datacenters, with s single host in each? In that case you cannot just copy a template over, you need to set up an export storage domain and take that template over to the second datacenter.

In any case, why do you have separate datacenters in a single location, are you using local storage?



And by the way, if you have a RHEV entitlement, even an evaluation license, such questions will be much better answered at the Red Hat user groups, at https://access.redhat.com/groups/red...virtualization

i'm trying to clone my system to another site and yes i'm using local storage
and i already did the export storage for each one of them but every one is working alone and cant see the other domain

Well, to move the VM, you export it to an export domain, detach the export domain, take it to the destination setup, import the export domain, and import the VMs from it
