Good Resource books for VM technology

Hello everyone,

I am a System DBA / Project Manager,

My company is totally redesigning ourselves from a Sun /Solaris world to a Linux world.

Currently we are looking at either Red Hat Enterprise Linux or SUSE Enterprise Linux, on HP serves, and most likely using VMware vSphere -5 using either Netapp, HP 3PAR storage, or Hitachi storage. We currently use MySQL 5.0.51a as our RDBMs DB and will upgrade to either MySQL 5.5 or 5.6 Enterprise and possible Oracle Standard Edition 11.2.0.3 using JBoss. Add to that we are taking our software Multi Tenant as well too, I know that is a lot and we under stand that. We plan on standing up a full test bed sand box hardware to fully test everything out with.

My question to this collective, is what are the best resource books to obtain and read to get as much educated intel on VM technology. I have used VMs before, but not a admin of them myself. I am willing to read as much as I can and will take the VM class to do it all and test and train myself as we go to better obtain the knowledge. We have 3 Sys Admins that will also do this as well too. So here is a list of 10 books, that I think might be best for us all to read. What are your thoughts and are there any others I should also consider?

Thanks in advance!!!

Since you're asking on LQ and not on the vmware forums, have you tried looking at opensource virtualization solutions?
