Force shutdown required in host computer when i open virtualbox

I install virtualbox in windows 7. before some days i face a problem that when i open any Operating System in virtualbox then does not detect any usb device in windows 7 machine (base machine) and when shutting down my host pc, it fails to shutdown, and at last i shutdown it by pressing power button.

i am unable to identify the reason of this problem. Please help me to resolve the issue.

Are you running the latest version of VBox, extension pack and guest additions?

A USB device can not be connected to the host and guest at the same time. If you used USB filters it will automatically connect that device to the guest.
