Do VirtualBox installs have to be removed before doing a clean install of Linux?
I'm wanting to do a clean hard drive install of Linux Mint 17 replacing a Linux Mint installation which has several virtual box installations of other OSs on it. Is it OK to do that without revoving the Virtual Box Os installations or must they be removed first?

There is no need to remove the VMs. When they are not in use, they are just files.
When the partition is reformatted to receive the clean install, all contents of the partition will be removed and replaced with the new install. |
"clean hard drive install of Linux Mint 17"
This means your data on the drive will be totally lost. |
Thanx all= easy enough to back up & restore if important!!!
