Date and time out on VirtualBox Guest OS

Hello, I am currently running Mac OS X (10.6.1) as my host OS and I am booting the LFS Live CD (lfslivecd-x86-6.3-r2160.iso) and am using VirtualBox 3.0.8 as my virtualization software. I am building my Linux system from the Live CD within VirtualBox, and I do not want to leave VirtualBox open all the time for various reasons. So, when I finish a section of the book I suspend the Guest OS which at the current time is the LFS Live CD. When I go to boot the Guest OS at a later date the time and date are not synced with the host OS current time, or just the normal current time for my part of the world. Is there a way I can update the date and time for the current Guest OS? One way I was able to sync the time was to reload the Live CD, but I do not want to do that every time I want to boot/restore from a suspended state. Is there some way I can run the time/date script that syncs the time again when the Live CD is loading from the console, so I do not have to the load the whole Live CD again?

Install ntpd, the Network Time Protocol daemon, and let it sync time with your hosts NTPd or one of unrestricted accessible stratum 3 NTP servers close to you?

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:54 PM.
