Hi all, I have set up a network at home with RHEV and RHEV-Manager. The RHEV machine's IP is 10.1.1.212 and RHEV-Manager's is 10.1.1.211. I don't have static IP, so I connect through dynamic DNS (with NAT) from outside network. When I connect, the web interface of RHEV-Manager works fine, but I cannot connect to Spice console. Which ports and addresses should I NAT?
Thanks for your reply. I missed out this page when I installed.
Yesterday, I configured a NAT rule on my router that all incoming traffic to my router from 1-65535 port would be redirect to my RHEV-Manager and I couldnt use Spice. But if I configure NAT to redirect to one specific RHEV host (and if it works), can I use Spice on other VMs on other hosts too, since only one host can be configured through NAT one in a time?
No, you need to place the users in the same network as the hosts, this is why you have the option to set up a separate display network, the network on which the spice/vnc listeners will be started. Consider using VPN instead of NAT
I still cannot connect to Spice with NAT, using ports in the web and RHEV's IP. It's a problem since my ADSL router doesnt have VPN. But well, there's no point using NAT if only one host can be selected.
