centos vm problem with readonly
Hello
I have a centos 5.6 installed on a esx (4.1) host. Often the filesystem goes to readonly mode, and the only way i have found to fix it is rebooting. I have not found any pattern when the filesystem goes to readonly mode. Has anyone have any similar problem? |
FS remounting in readonly mode means there was a problem accessing storage. Check the ESX host logs

The strange this is that its only one of many linux vms that has this problem.

Hi,
As dyasny updated earlier if you the server goes to read only mode often then it should be issue related with your server HDD. Can you check the disk I/O on this server which you are having the issue. If you haven't any data on this server can you please try re-create it. |
We had problems again. This time more serious, it seem like not everything is right with the storage (crapy qnap storage).
From the esx log i see that apparently it looses connectivity sometime, just to get it back right after. |
