Can you get to any of the other terminals - Alt+[F2,F3...] or is the system frozen ? The other terminals should give you a clue regarding what has happened.

you bought vmware so, have you contacted them for support ?

and have you read through the fedora install guide?
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...ide/index.html

or " Virtualization Getting Started Guide"
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...ide/index.html

and the "Virtualization Administration Guide"
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...ide/index.html

Check download iso image.

Be sure to add in enough memory in the VM.

I'd think there are places to get a pre-made virtual machine maybe.

Could just get a small iso of some distro to double check.

Some computers have virtual support choice to enable in bios. Be sure to enable it. It may be named some odd name or in odd location in menu.
