I hope I can bootup my kernel using an iso image, which holds (kernel image, initramfs, and grub). But the problem is I am not able to install grub2 inside an image file. Each and every post explains only with grub legacy bootloader. Any suggestions / directions will be appreciated...

TIA

I haven't used bochs for 20 years.

I'd think it would be much easier to boot a kernel from qemu. Can you consider using qemu instead?

I was thinking "... man I haven't heard of Bochs in maybe 10 years". A quick look at the wikipedea page makes it sound like it's been lurking in the background.
To the OP - why not use grub ?. Still works.

Need to add Bochs to my "must look into" list.
