amd opteron use pci scsi card in domU

Hi all,

I have a amd opteron machine without amd-v.
I have a tape library that is connected to a scsi card in a PCI-express slot.
What I want to do is access this tape library from within domU.

I tried with pcihide but it seems that this does not work if you have no virtualization extensions.

My question is how to accomplish this then.

domU is FreeBSD.

Thanks in advance

It seems like this is possible with pciback.hide... You also have to rebuild the initrd with the correct pciback (or pcihide, cant remember exactly, module).

If you dont have VT-d or AMD-V it just won't work.
