vbox 4.0.2 - guest sabayon5.4 on win7 - mnt local gentoo from vbox sabayon?

Am currently running Virtual Box 4.0.2 on Windows 7. I am running my Sabayon USB live in Virtual Box in Windows as a guest. I have a gentoo installation on the local disk

/dev/sda1 = Gentoo (mkfs = XFS)
/dev/sda3 = Win 7 64-bit

How can I mount that Gentoo partition from within the Vbox'd Sabayon (flavor of Gentoo)?

As far as I know there isn't any windows support for XFS, but I dont think that is necessary so long as win 7 is aware of the partition existing, right?

I'm assuming I first need to make Win 7 aware of that partition somehow then add that drive to Vbox and then I might be able to mount it?
