Performance of Xen against Xenserver

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I've been trying to ascertain whether there is any performance difference between Citrix's Xenserver and the Xen kernel in Redhat EL/Centos. There doesn't seem to be a performance improvement with Xenserver, even though it appears to be a "bare metal hypervisor" like VMware's ESX. Does anyone have any comments ?
