OpenVZ in KVM

Hello everyone,

I plan to upgrade a server machine from Hardy to Jaunty. It runs OpenVZ containers and these need to be migrated.

Since OpenVZ is not included in Jaunty and it is not stable for kernels > 2.6.18 I can't use it directly.

Is it possible to place openvz containers in a Hardy virtual machine, say using KVM, and run the containers in there?

The most important thing is that the containers are visible to the outside network and are configurable using DHCP.

That would be a bad idea performance-wise. Why not build yourself a custom kernel or just keep the old one? Mind the user space tools however...

It is probably a bad idea for performance. I want to upgrade to jaunty for ext4 support. So, another question: what is the best way to migrate openvz containers to jaunty.
