Is it possible to SSH into a server and startx?
Okay, this is probably a basic question but I've only recently started playing around with Fedora via VMware.
Basically I specifically chose Fedora on VMWare so that I can actually ssh into a physical Fedora box, log in, and hit startx so that I can possibly (when needed) get access to the GUI. (I normally do things over CLI, but some apps just don't work on command line.)
I'm getting a lot of errors, though, such as "WARNING: Unable to add monitor: Not supported."
(I can't seem to figure out how in VMWare to copy and paste the terminal text, and I don't even see the error messages in Xorg.0.log or in /var/log at all, for that matter.)
My question, then, is how do I actually get X to start up on a remote machine?
