Starting a LUG in California

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I live in Ventura County and the closest lugs are in LA and Santa Monica. That is a bit of a drive for me, so i'm interested in creating one for Ventura county. I hope there is enough people around who wish to do the same. So I guess my questions are...
1.Does anyone wish to help create a lug
2.Would you come to meetings/installfests/other
3.Would you participate via the internet (irc,email,...)

My hopes are to get 5-10 people who wish to put some time into this (whenever possible) to maintain the group. and of course as many people who wanted to participate are welcome.

So if you are interested send me a message or post on the forum.

Thanks,
-Paul

Check out meetup.com for finding attendees too. It will cost about $15 a month to keep a site going, but it seems its a good IRL hookup place for all kinds of things.

Ok just an update, I am still looking at creating a user group. I have created a website for this. I am still going around local places looking for some more people. Any advise/help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul B
