LUG in Sri Lanka

Are there any LUGs in Sri Lanka?

I'm new to linux. I've installed Red Hat 9 a week ago. It would be nice to communicate with more experienced users.
And I'm sure there are lot more like me around.
I found very good information from this site.
Although internet is a very good palce to find answers to your questions, it is very expensive and VERY VERY slow here in SL.

If there are any Sri Lankan users around please reply

You might want to check out:

http://64.233.161.104/search?q=cache...Lanka%22&hl=en

That is the google cache for:

http://www.lug.lk

I could not reach the web site directly, but alot of things can happen along a network from Sri Lanka to here, so I would not lose a lot of sleep over that at the moment. Their objective is

"The main objective of Lanka Linux User Group is to promote GNU/Linux software in Sri Lanka."

I hope that this might be a useful resource for you.

Hi,
The Sri Lanka Linux User Group (LKLUG) is very active. They actively participate in many exhibitions, and at the same time are developing a Sihala version of GNU/Linux. Join the LKLUG at www.linux.lk by subscribing to the mailing lists
