Linux global User group

Hello Linuxers...

I am wondering... if we can make a LUG a global one that can have a separate IRC channel along with a bugzilla where we can pour in our problems and solve them :))

Let me know your views :)

if yes i would like people to join hands for this wonderful approach :)

LQ is already global enough for me.

But you had actually a look on this forum? Isn't that exactly what we are doing here?

Having a Global group seems sort of OK, but aren't we being a bit parochial? Linux system crashed - local man hurt (by data loss presumably)... If there are extraterrestrial aliens out there having trouble with their Linux systems, or maybe able to lend a hand, (ETLinux Distro ?) it would be sad if we were to exclude them. And it might be interesting to see what kind of hardware they might be using.

Wow, neal, your signature makes the forum veeeeeery wide!
Anyways, as others said, it already exists, but on the other hand, how do you recognize a linux user?
Right now, I'm looking for any propaganda stuff to buy, such as stickers, pins, clothing etc. so that I could let others know I'm a linux user. Anyone has any idea where I could buy such stuff?

Well, I have Slackware polo shirts and a Debian license plate frame all purchased from the respective distros' stores. I haven't bought any LQ stuff yet, but I plan to. Many distros have stores of various kinds linked from their websites, thought sometimes you have to hunt a bit for them. Here's the one for LQ:

There is a online LUG that meets at Linux Basix via Mumble on Friday evenings USA EST.
