cd command not working in .cshrc file(bash shell) in SUSE Linux

Hello Experts,

Just trying to execute cd command in a .cshrc file (bash shell in

SUSE Linux). But it says."No such file or directory".
Do you see any reasons for this?
Appreciate your valuable inputs.

.cshrc is the config file for the C shell, not the bash shell.
