I can't find zwinky for linux anywhere even with the linux google search, linux google search only comes up with 24 hits none of them a program for linux.
Zwinky install
Bonus: Also includes Smiley Central™, Cursor Mania™, Popular Screensavers™, the MyWebSearch® search box and Search Assistant - relevant search results in response to incorrectly formatted browser address requests.
Eww Why would you want to install that on anything, Windows or Linux.. Way too much adware for my tastes
I never said that Google is your most helpful friend in this case. Go read the Wikipedia article.
BTW, farslayer is right about the safety of the software. The 1 consolation may be that Wine, or whatever, might sandbox it enough to make it relatively harmless.
If YOU benefit the pleasures of Firefox...type in the Google search box "Linux" and please press enter. The results are satisfying to me. Choose YOUR articles/websites with additional search options...subsets, or keywords.
Once Zwinky is installed, the MyWeb Searchbar runs on startup. When users attempt to visit nonexistent pages, the software redirects them to search.mywebsearch.com. MyWeb Searchbar has been included on lists of known spyware.[3] A review from McAfee SiteAdvisor of the Zwinky website states, "In our tests, this site promoted downloads that some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs." There are also many user review complaints about the spyware that the Zwinky website supports.
AFAIAK, my & farslayer's comments, his direct & mine indirect, still stand.
A heartless person might say that if you install this, you'll get what you deserve.
