zinf installation

i'm trying to install zinf. i untar tha package without meeting any problem, but when i run ./configure the procedure stops telling me "configure: error: zinf needs GDBM installed".
what can i do?

That's a dependency. You have to install GDBM beforen zinf

excuse me for my ignorance, but what is GDBM? where i can find it?

You didn't install the developmental packages? As root, command:
urpmi gcc
An Introduction to the Midnight Commander. You can install it by commanding:
urpmi mc
