Yum update issue

I'm running Fedora-3. While updating software I get the message:

To: root@localhost.localdomain
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ANSI_X3.4-1968"
Subject: Anacron job 'cron.daily'

/sbin/ldconfig: File /usr/lib/ is empty, not checked.
/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib/ is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

Anyone understand what this means? Is it a problem or something I can safely ignore?

Thanks, Ron

most systems are set up with /etc/cron.* directories. In them are scripts which are run daily, weekly, etc. I can't find a man page for them specifically, but you can type 'man cron' and 'man at' for an overview.

That mail is just the output from one of those scripts. They can probably be ignored.
