Yum update FC4 X86_64

Hello,

Did anyone had thsi problem ? I cannot update FC4_64 with yum.Here's what I get as error
.......After fetching all available updates......ends with this:

Importing Additional filelist information for dependency resolution
--> Restarting Dependency Resolution with new changes.
--> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait.
---> Package kernel.x86_64 0:2.6.15-1.1831_FC4 set to be installed
--> Running transaction check
Error: Unable to satisfy dependencies
Error: Package GFS-kernel needs /lib/modules/2.6.15-1.1831_FC4, this is not available.

Thanks!

Martin.

Are you really using GFS, or have you unknowingly installed it?

I'm not at all familiar with GFS, but I believe each release of it requires a particular kernel version to work with. My guess -- and it's just a guess -- is that your version of GFS is tied to the 1831 kernel, but the most current Fedora release kernel (which your yum update command would be trying to fetch) is 1833.

Problem solved.Since its a tri-boot machine & Suse has the boot loader,I had to reconfigure Suse's grub to boot with the latest Kernel,2.6.15.1833.Then simply Update.

thx.
