Yum Not Working Help!

i get this error when tryin to do anything with yum

Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Config Error: File contains no section headers.
file: file://///etc/yum.repos.d/yellowdog-base.repo, line: 1
'yellowdog-base.repo\n'

Also, I get a config error whenever I try to start the Software installer. It states :Unable to start due to a configuration error. Can anyone guide me through this?

Can you post /etc/yum.repos.d/yellowdog-base.repo?

Here's what a CentOS one looks like

Code:
[base]
name=CentOS-$releasever - Base
mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=$basearch&repo=os
#baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/os/$basearch/
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-5

yellowdog-base.repo

[base]
name=Yellow Dog Linux 6.0 Base
#baseurl=http://ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/yellowdog/yum/6.0/base/
mirrorlist=http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/resources/yd60-base-mlist
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY

this is what i got for the base repo. Also, here's the yum.conf file :
[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
keepcache=0
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
exactarch=1
obsoletes=1
gpgcheck=1
plugins=1
metadata_expire=1800

# PUT YOUR REPOS HERE OR IN separate files named file.repo
# in /etc/yum.repos.d

Did you edit these files at all? The original error message with the \n at the end suggests errant linefeeds given by a non-*nix editor.

Try

dos2unix /etc/yum.repos.d/yellowdog-base.repo
