YMessenger - online friends are shown offline

Some days ago something strange happend to my Yahoo Messenger. All friends that are online are shown offline. I can not do anything. Removed ".ymessenger" folder and reinstalled the RPM from but it's the same.
Had someone else this problem? Can somebody help me please with this?

I would use Gaim, but I'm behind a proxy and port 5050 is blocked and cannot connect

Running Fedora Core 3.
Thank you for the help!

also you can change the port that gaim uses for the connection

in gaim go to accounts, select the yahoo account click modify, select more options
there should be an option the change the port there
