Question Yahoo Web Messenger - Signin issues

Hi

Dont know if rest have same issues -

I have Fedora 7
Firefox 2.0.0.11.

All Security patches and updates installed.

No other issues -

Now the problem description :

I start Firefox (Start New session/Restore earlier session => I take start new session).

I log in to yahoo mail (Beta Version /AJAX Thingie) where in addition to checking out mails - you can chat as well.

Now Chat keeps signing me out and in - People see me offline for a few seconds and back online in next few seconds - This continues.

People on my contact/buddy list find it too irritating.

Part 2 of problem = Same yahoo related .

When I logout and relogin with different user name/user account - Yahoo will not allow me to logout.

Everytime I have to delete cookies to make it work for different account.

I have plenty of diskspace - its shining 160 gigs hard drive.

I am using OpenDNS Servers for Name resolution

Any problem with other flash websites - None - Other Flash based games run just fine.

Gmail - works great - No Nonsense - Gmail chat - that too works cool.

- if any of you could guide me why this behviour - that too typically with yahoo.

Thank you

Beta means it's a work in progress, and it may be some time before Yahoo gets it completed. FWIW- I see the same logged off/logged on issue with one of my Yahoo contacts on Messenger. She's running WinXP. I also switched back to the original My Yahoo- too many issues with the beta page.

If everything else works properly, then obviously it's Yahoo's problem.

BTW- You could report it to Yahoo- it might be a bug they're not yet aware of.

Cheers

True - I suspected same.

I am old/veteran users yahoo mail.

and I was one of the few who had Beta thingie. Having said that - about a month back - given problem dates back to about a
month.

So the sole reason was if anybody else had same/similar problem with yahoo mail based chat.

Thank you for guiding me in right direction.
