yahoo pos

i just put yahoo onto my box, and it is crashing X whenever users logg in. i have a text based login to start. the user then types "startx" x begins to start, but crashes. it doesn't show any errors, but i know for sure that it is yahoo. it only does it when it is told to start with X. does anyone know how to correct the problem manually? i need to take whatever setting it put in to the users directory out.

thanks

chris
