Yahoo Messenger woes

Hello everyone, it's been a few years since I post here but I'm back!

I just installed Debian Woody, the latest stable build and I also installed Yahoo Messenger. I have a few things I cant figure out. every 5-10 minutes Yahoo M logs out, and then logs back in, which I find very weird. Also, I am trying to find a way to click the "X" aka close button on the top right and have Yahoo minimze to my system tray.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Gaim uses a plugin that puts it in the system tray. The Ymessenger app simply closes in you click X.

Gaim or Kopete are both better choices than the ymessenger package.
